An exhibition centered not only on works of art, but above all on human stories—stories of overcoming adversity, hope, memory, recovery, and inner transformation. Here, art becomes a language capable of speaking about what matters most: a person's journey toward their true self.

The project was conceived by Finnish entrepreneur, experimental photographer, and founder of Art Chaos – Nordic Curatorial Platform & Gallery, Nikolay Zapolnov. His journey—from a career in information technology and the video game industry to contemporary art—shaped the philosophy of the project, in which artists do not compete with one another, but become part of a shared narrative of inner awakening.

Two social projects hold a special place in the exhibition. Pikakoka (Lithuania), founded by Sandra Matveeva, demonstrates how artistic practice can support a person's recovery after a serious illness and become part of the process of social rehabilitation. Resurrect Studio (USA), founded by artists Nancy Wu and Jean Davis, transforms century-old fragments of glass found along the shoreline of a former New York City landfill into works of contemporary art, revealing the idea of rebirth and renewed value.

The exhibition brings together painting, graphic art, experimental photography, art glass, small-scale sculpture, original design, jewelry art, arts & crafts, and other forms of contemporary art.

AWAKENING is an exhibition of human stories that remind us that inner awakening begins with the first step toward one's true self.
